I'm a huge advocate for seniors to be able to stay in their homes as long as they can as long as they can do so safely (for themselves and their neighbors) and there is a support network in place to ensure their safety. When we talk about this issue of "how long is too long" in your own home, we often refer to elderly in single family homes. The debate gets even more lively when we consider seniors living in senior condominium or cooperatives. The Minneapolis Star and Tribune weighed in on the issue yesterday:
