About Lisa Dunn

Hi, I'm Lisa Dunn. I am a licensed real estate agent working in Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota; my license is held by RE/MAX Results. While I work with clients of all ages, my focus and passion is working with seniors and their families. Prior to becoming a real estate agent, I was a licensed graduate social worker (LGSW) and health care consultant. Currently, I consult and teach REALTOR^®  Senior Advisor (RSA) courses for the Minneapolis Association of REALTORS^® . I also write about seniors, senior housing and aging issues.  I author a blog, Real Sage Advice, and also contribute as a senior real estate expert to a national health care website, Gilbert Guide.

I earned my Bachelor of Science from Minnesota State University Mankato, and Master of Arts in Psychology and Counseling Services from St. Mary's University. My background in social work and counseling gives me a unique insight into the maze of senior services, and has helped me develop a holistic approach in working with older adults and their families. I also hold the Certified Senior Advisor (CSA) designation from the Society of Senior Advisors, the Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES) designation from the National Association of Realtors, and the Realtor Senior Advisor (RSA) designation from the Minneapolis Realtor Association (read more about these REALTOR^® designations.)

I have found myself in a profession that is shrouded by mystery. Part of my job is to make sure real estate consumers and those with aging parents have the information they need about real estate and senior services to make good decisions. This responsibility has led me to take on a number of Internet projects with the primary goal of transparency.
